Great Pyramid of Giza


The Pyramids at Giza are among the best-known ancient monuments in the world and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world still standing. Of the three pyramids, the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), which was built by the pharaoh Khufu around 2560BC is the oldest and largest. 

It is 136m high with each side measuring 229m. Each side is oriented with the cardinal points of the compass, i.e. North, South, East and West. The sloping angle of the side is 51 degrees 51 minutes. It consists of two million blocks of stone.
